Prince Charles beams as he traps crown that landed at his feet during Northern Ireland trip

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall visited Northern Ireland. Camilla wore an outfit designed

by Fiona Clare.

PRINCE Charles sees a sign of his destiny as a crown lands at his feet. The royal heir, 68, smiled as he trapped the actor’s prop with his foot.  It happened while he watched a play with the Duchess of Cornwall on a visit to Bellaghy, Co Londonderry.  The Royal couple were watching an excerpt from Heaney’s play The Burial At Thebes performed by students at the time.  They also met Heaney’s widow Marie and brother Hugh at the Seamus Heaney HomePlace visitor centre in Bellaghy, Northern Ireland.  Charles said in a speech: “So often it is the poets who can find the words which identify the essential beyond the superficial, which reveal the sense beyond the slogan, and which can discover beyond the external things which separate us the humanity we share.”
